CRIMINAL ACTIVITY EVERYWHERE

DUTTON RANCH
Paramount+
Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) has left the Yellowstone and headed for Texas to start a new ranch in this latest “Yellowstone” spinoff. Along with husband Rip (Cole Hauser) and adopted son Carter (Finn Little), Beth is starting over, but her ornery personality has come along; and her family’s past has too. This series is led by showrunner Chad Feehan and director Christina Alexandra Voros, two of mega-creator Taylor Sheridan’s favorite collaborators (think “Lawman: Bass Reeves” and “The Madison”), so expect storylines that intertwine “Yellowstone” history with this new beginning that co-stars Annette Bening and Ed Harris.

MAXIMUM PLEASURE GUARANTEE
Apple TV
Emmy winner Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black”) brings her unique style to this dark comedy about a single soccer mom whose life is turned upside down by a combination of blackmail, murder and online porn. Sounds kinda crazy, right? Well, throw in that this is a dark comedy series and you get the idea of the kind of twisty ride this new series takes off on. Jake Johnson, Charlie Hall, Murray Bartlett and Jessy Hodges round out the cast of this look at one mother’s ways of coping, and the messes she finds herself in as a result of some sketchy choices.

Shannon Gisela has a breakout role in this revenge tale of a revenge-seeking woman whose whole family is murdered by a rival drug-running gang. She’s got a plan to kill every man involved, which means lots of action in this series set in South Florida. Created by Bill Dubuque, known as the writer-creator of “Ozark” as well as “The Accountant” films, this one’s another, even more violent look at Florida’s underbelly. Cary Elwes, Danay Garcia and Edward James Olmos also star.

NEMESIS
Netflix
If the world of “Power” is your T.V. jam, then tune into this L.A. crime thriller, the next project from Courtney A. Kemp’s fertile storytelling mind. She’s set two very different men into a collision course in this action-packed show, with a high-stakes burglar (Y’lan Noel) and the LAPD detective (Matthew Law) who’s out to bring him to justice. Mario Van Peebles directs and Tani Marole is Kemp’s co-creator on this gritty crime series.

SPIDER-NOIR
Prime Video
“Spider-Noir” has so much going for it, it will be a crime if it isn’t a big hit. From the always terrific, Oscar-winning producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “Project Hail Mary”) at the helm with showrunner Oren Uziel, to the show’s stars Nicolas Cage (in his first TV series!), Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson and Jack Huston, this noir series is hitting on all cylinders. Add in the story, of a washed-up private eye living in 1930s New York, a man with a big secret and lots of existential angst. And he happens to be able to swing between buildings on spider strands. Presented in classic black-and-white film noir, or color if you prefer. Go for the noir!
