What could be better than a gathering of like-minded women and a few good men for a day of connection, experts panel, and guest experts on topics ranging from an “Insider’s Guide to New York City” and “Self-Care Practices That Work” to a celebrity interview with Paulina Porizkova, the former face of Estee Lauder and author of No Filter?
This describes the 2023 Renewal Summit, held at the beautiful Scandinavia House on Park Avenue. The day was punctuated with time for luncheon, visiting, and some fabulous shopping with 17 curated exhibitors representing the best of skincare, jewelry, fashion, books, and more. The day ended with a special presentation of the “Woman of Purpose” Award to Tony Award-winning producer Pat Addiss, who has produced more than 20 plays on and off Broadway.
IF NOT NOW, WHEN?
The Renewal Summit, attended by 150 women, is now in its 7th year and was conceived by Three Tomatoes Founder Cheryl Benton and co-hosted by Health and Wellness Entrepreneur Anne Akers. The Three Tomatoes celebrates “women who are no longer kids” with weekly newsletters (available at no charge) in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami. The Three Tomatoes, in partnership with Anne Akers, also offers wine excursions to the Hamptons, holiday events, a talent show for aspiring entertainers, and lots more!
Sponsors for this year’s event included Anna Zuckerman Luxury Jewelry with CEO Leena Gurevich, Immunocologie Skincare with CEO/Founder Karen Ballou, and OsteoStrong Park Avenue with owner Shawn Hauver. During the day-long event, informative panels with expert moderators included Roni Jenkins, Dr. Robi Ludwig, Sallie Fraenkel, and Judy Goss. Their discussions included TV commentator and author of Chita: A Memoir, Patrick Pacheco; Sandi Durrell, Founder of Theatre Pizzazz; celebrity stylist George Brescia; NYC designer Gabrielle Carlson; world-renowned hair transplant surgeon Dr. Benjamin Paul; Tiffany Townsend, EVP of NYC Tourism and Conventions; and health and wellness experts, Sonia Satra, Tracey Vincel and Yamuna Zake. There were light-hearted moments, too, provided by Leighann Lord, Carole Montgomery, and Tulis McCall, who discussed the changing perceptions of women through comedy.
